Description We are in the hospitality sector, situated in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, and we're currently on the hunt for a Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of payroll activities, ensuring confidentiality, and providing superior customer service to our employees. Responsibilities: • Oversee weekly payroll activities for a large number of employees • Take charge of the entry of all payroll changes • Handle the processing of new hires and terminations with precision • Display a strong understanding of Child Support Withholdings/Garnishments/Wage Audits and their processing • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations • Show excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies through effective problem-solving • Communicate effectively with employees and other departments regarding payroll matters • Meet weekly payroll deadlines and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment • Set up direct deposit for employees • Review and verify employee information meticulously • Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries • Generate timecard hours reports and process them for payroll. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in the hotel industry. • Experience with UKG Ready payroll system is a must. • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems. • Experience with 401k - RRSP Administration. • Knowledge of About Time software is required. • Ability to manage all accounting functions. • Auditing skills are essential. • Familiarity with benefit functions. • Proficiency in managing benefits payroll. • Ability to handle weekly payroll activities effectively.
