Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a remote Payroll Specialist. This role involves processing complex multi-state payrolls across a variety of clients and industries. You will also be involved in supporting technology implementations, managing benefits, onboarding and offboarding employees, maintaining HRIS, and handling tax registrations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and handle a variety of HR, payroll, and benefits complexities. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process complex multi-state payroll • Support the implementation of technology solutions • Administer benefits to employees • Handle onboarding and offboarding processes • Maintain HRIS systems • Register tax for multiple states • Handle various projects for a diverse portfolio of clients • Resolve complex HR and payroll matters • Support rapid expansions and manage layoffs • Navigate through competing employment laws.
