Description We are seeking a Payroll Specialist in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves managing payroll operations for multiple departments and locations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity that offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Accurately process semi-monthly payroll for about 160 employees across multiple locations. • Maintain and update payroll records in the system, ensuring all data is current and accurate. • Handle benefits processing as part of the payroll function. • Retrieve payroll reports from the system, categorize them by location, and initiate electronic charges to respective departments. • Perform journal entries related to payroll transactions. • Apply problem-solving skills to identify and correct payroll errors, ensuring that all transactions comply with the company's policies and procedures. • Use accounting software systems like Paycom, ADP - Financial Services, and Ceridian for processing and managing payroll. • Administer 401k - RRSP administration, benefits analysis, and compensation & benefits as part of the job role. • Perform auditing of payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Demonstrate flexibility and respect in dealing with various situations and challenges in the role.
