Payroll Specialist

Qualifications

Minimum associate's degree in accounting, finance, economics or any other related field of study

5+ years of experience in payroll

Must have experience in ADP or Paylocity

Must have multi-state experience

Ability to process payroll for 250+ employees

Job DescriptionMaintain Payroll System: Keep Paylocity and employee pay records updated.Time and Attendance: Post, distribute, review, audit, and correct timesheets.Paychecks: Prepare and distribute paychecks.Reporting: File quarterly and annual reports (ACA, W2).Audit Timesheets: Ensure timesheets are complete and accurate.General Ledger: Post and reconcile payroll records.Resolve Issues: Fix payroll-related general ledger issues.Process Payments: Handle withholdings, deductions, garnishments, overtime, bonuses, benefits, 401k, and direct deposits.Manage Changes: Update exemptions and insurance coverage.Tax Deposits: Prepare payroll tax deposits and benefits forms.Inquiries: Address payroll-related questions and issues.Track Pay: Determine regular and overtime pay.Separation Checks: Process checks for resignations, terminations, and severance.Support Audits: Assist with audits and prepare month-end payroll entries.Benefits Enrollment: Ensure timely benefits enrollment and payroll deductions.W-2 Forms: Distribute W-2 forms and process employment verification.Stay Updated: Keep current with payroll regulations.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

- Benefits: Health, dental, vision, PTO accrued (28 days calendar year), 9 holidays, company holiday shutdown, 401k matching, $50/month for phone bill and tuition reimbursement
