Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana. This remote role is in the accounting industry and will cater to a large team of employees across multiple states. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with handling payroll operations and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all related processes. Responsibilities: • Execute payroll operations for a team of 410 employees • Utilize Dayforce to manage and maintain payroll systems • Handle multistate payroll processing to ensure employees get paid accurately and on time • Conduct manual 401K entry to ensure correct and timely allocation of funds • Make use of Accounting Software Systems and Ceridian for accurate record keeping • Carry out regular auditing of all payroll records to identify and rectify any discrepancies • Manage accounting functions related to payroll to maintain proper financial records • Handle benefit functions, ensuring all employee benefits are accurately recorded and updated in the system • Use 'About Time' software for efficient time management and payroll processing. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is needed. • Must have experience with Ceridian. • Familiarity with Dayforce is a requirement. • Knowledge in 401k - RRSP Administration is essential. • Experience with About Time software is required. • Must possess a strong understanding of Accounting Functions. • Auditing skills are necessary. • Should have expertise in managing Benefit Functions.
