Payroll Specialist - Contingent
Description We are offering a contract for a permanent employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist at our location in El Segundo, California. The selected candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing various payroll processing activities, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of biweekly payrolls, and handling a variety of employee changes. Key Responsibilities: + Ensure accurate and timely processing of biweekly payrolls using ADP Workforce Now. + Act as the subject matter expert for payroll-related inquiries, company policies, and compliance with federal and state regulations regarding payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and garnishments. + Provide support to the Senior Payroll Manager and serve as a backup for all roles within the Payroll Team. + Process multi-state U.S. payroll for up to 3,000 employees. + Work with Kronos/Dimensions timekeeping system to collect and audit hours, ensuring time data balances for all companies. + Deliver excellent customer service by responding to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner while maintaining confidentiality. + Ensure payroll procedures and processes are followed, updated, and continuously improved to enhance efficiency. + Foster teamwork and collaboration by supporting Payroll Team members and maintaining strong internal partnerships. + Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure accurate payroll processing and issue resolution. + Manage workflow under tight deadlines, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely every payroll cycle. + Research, analyze, and resolve payroll-related issues, problems, and general questions. Requirements Required Qualifications: + Extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now and Success Factors Employee Central applications. + Strong working knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and garnishments. + Experience with Kronos/Dimensions timekeeping system. + Proven ability to process payroll in a multi-state environment. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. + Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Commitment to providing high-quality service and support to employees.
