PAYROLL SPECIALIST I: DETAILS
Title: Payroll Specialist I
Location: Goodlettsville, TN
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Type: Contract to hire
Hours: 8am-5pm | Monday-Friday | 40 hours

REQUIREMENTS: PAYROLL SPECIALIST I

* 1 year of payroll experience / education is acceptable
* Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of payroll laws.
* Experience creating complex spreadsheets including utilization of report writing tools.
* Comprehensive knowledge of payroll tax withholding processing functions and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES: PAYROLL SPECIALIST I

* Taking inbound and making outbound phone calls* Analyze, audit, and process multi-state payroll* Submitting ticket reqs* Submitting and assisting with time entry requests.* Performing direct deposit questions and check requests.* Adhere to state guidelines for remitting and releasing court ordered payments.* Research employee wages and deduction history* Sourcing inbound checks* Maintain appropriate supporting backup for system and employees' updates and adjustments in company systems.* Creates and formats analytical reports and prepares correspondence to internal and external departments using Microsoft Office tools.
