Payroll Specialist III
This program requires US Citizenship Remote but preference for candidates to sit in Maryland, VA, DC preferred. Will be required to work east coast hours 8am to 5p **Responsibilities:** **The payroll specialist will be responsible for processing day-to-day payroll functions in an efficient and timely manner under the supervision of a Senior Payroll Specialist, Payroll Operations Manager, and/or Director. The payroll team handles complex union, federal contracting standards, ex-patriot and other special pay situations for US based employees on missions around the world.** **Responsibilities and Duties** Responsibilities and duties include the following, but not limited to: + Calculate, compile and submit accurate information and adjustments into the payroll processing software for assigned employee groups. + Calculate miscellaneous pay components in compliance with federal, state, and/or local policies and tax guidelines. + Create, review, and audit manual checks. + Prepare manual upload files used in the processing of payroll. + Garnishment payroll entries and review + Help to support employee receivables process. + Detect and resolve routine and complex payroll anomalies. + Prepare external reports to internal business partners and research GL matters. + Support help desk team by answering and resolving employee escalations. + Support team with special payroll projects, tax adjustments, and complex research matters. **Basic Qualifications** + High School Diploma with 3 or more years progressive payroll experience + Intermediate knowledge of Excel required. + Strong attention to detail + Deadline Oriented **Preferred Qualifications** + UltiPro Payroll, Costpoint Payroll, and Deltek T&E Systems highly desired **Position Details:** + Pay Rate / Range:$31.87-$35.76 _The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions._ + Benefits (Regular, Full Time Employees): 1.
