Payroll Specialist - Prevailing Wage

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Payroll Specialist to join one of our client’s team on a contract basis. This role will work with prime and subcontractors to ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements, keeping abreast of Federal and State laws and other relevant information including Davis-Bacon and Related Act (DBRA), Federal Rate tables, etc. Will also be responsible for ensuring complete understanding and full administration of "Bona-Fide" fringe benefits under DBRA, including life insurance, health insurance, pension, vacation, etc. Reviews certified payrolls and appropriately addresses delinquent certified payrolls.

**What’s the Job?**
+ Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that laborers and mechanics employed by contractors or subcontractors on IRA-funded projects receive wages that meet or exceed the prevailing rates determined by the Department of Labor, in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act.
+ Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit certified payroll reports to relevant government agencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain comprehensive records of payroll data, including employee information, wage rates, and job classifications.
+ Audit Support: Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and maintaining organized payroll records.
+ Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure understanding and adherence to prevailing wage requirements.
+ Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in prevailing wage laws and regulations, including those specific to IRA projects, and implement necessary updates to compliance processes. * Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.
**What’s Needed?**
+ Associate's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
+ 2+ years of experience in prevailing wage payroll processing and certified payroll reporting.
+ MUST have a comprehensive understanding of prevailing wage laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act and IRA-specific regulations (required)
+ Proficiency in payroll software and certified payroll systems; strong attention to detail; effective communication skills.
+ Experience with LCP Tracker software is a plus
