Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

About the Role 

Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to lead and assist our payroll operations with efficiency and accuracy. This role is essential in ensuring that all employees receive their compensation correctly and on time while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and integrity. You will report to our Payroll Manager.

 

What You Will Do 

Supervise and coordinate the preparation and processing of bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for all hotel employees, including salaried, hourly, and tipped staff. Review and approve timekeeping records, attendance, and paid time off requests to ensure accurate payroll calculations. Ensure payroll compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local tax laws, while maintaining current knowledge of payroll and tax regulations. Generate and analyze payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and contributions for internal and external audits, management review, and compliance purposes. Serve as the main contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies, providing timely and professional responses. Maintain and oversee accurate and organized payroll records, ensuring that all employee information is secure and up-to-date. 

 

What You Bring 

Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 4-5 years of payroll processing experience, including supervisory experience, preferably in the hospitality industry. Advanced knowledge of payroll software (Scan HRMS & Self Service) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with timekeeping systems and payroll compliance requirements. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws and payroll regulations, including social security contributions, taxes, and employee protection laws. Eligible to work in Greece is a MUST.
