Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Payroll Tax Analyst located in Makati City, Philippines.
As a Payroll Tax Analyst, your responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
+ Performance of functions and processes related to the payment and reporting of Chevrons payroll tax liabilities for U.S. dollar paid employees. This task requires analysis of payroll transactions, reconciliation of SAP data, resolution of discrepancies with ADP, and data validation of quarterly payroll tax returns. Analyst performs detailed analysis and control validation, identifies and facilitates resolution of any issues and ensures timely submission.
+ Account reconciliation and controls. Reconciliation requires active account analysis and periodic presentation to management for review. Analyst reconciles G-L accounts in accordance with established standards and maintains up-to-date procedural documentation.
+ Additional finance and tax-related processes, which may include: prepare prior quarter or prior year amended returns, research and respond to tax notices, respond to external audit and other inquiries, maintain company profile in ADPs system, perform periodic and ad hoc analysis, participate in special projects, perform back-up role to support the tax team, and perform other tasks, as assigned.
+ Demonstration of strong written and oral communication skills through effective communication with internal and external customers, peers and managers. Analyst may be asked to summarize detailed financial or tax analysis. - Provide decision support to other departments including: operating companies, SAP IT support, Legal, Expatriate Administration, Comptrollers, Payroll Accounting, Payroll Processing and all levels of management.
+ Appropriate handling of sensitive personal data. Payroll Tax involves stewardship of highly sensitive employee information and therefore requires strict adherence to Policy 575 (information protection) guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
+ Payroll experience
+ Good oral and written communication skills
+ Strong analytical, teamwork and customer engagement skills
+ Must have the propensity to work in a proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused environment
+ Enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds·
+ Knows how to handle Sensitive Personal Data and abide with Data Privacy Law
+ Willing to be assigned to night shift work schedule, with possibility of moving to midshift or dayshift schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in SAP/JDE is an advantage, but not required
+ Minimum three years' work experience
