Summary Due to continued growth, we are adding a Payroll Tax Manager position. This role reports to the Director of Payroll and will oversee and manage tax withholding, filing, compliance and reconciliation processes for the Company. Responsibilities Oversee and manage all payroll tax operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulationsPerform regular audits and reviews of payroll tax calculations, ensuring accuracy and completeness in tax withholdings, including income taxes, Social Security, Medicare, and other applicable taxesReconcile and prepare all periodic payroll-related journal entries and other required reports within specified deadlinesMonitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and rates and implement necessary adjustments to payroll tax procedures and systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely communication and reporting of tax-related informationManage relationships with external tax agencies, auditors, and consultants, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries, requests, and auditsProvide training and guidance to HR, Payroll Operations, and other relevant teams on payroll tax-related matters, ensuring compliance with tax regulationsStay updated on industry best practices, trends, and technological advancements in payroll tax management, recommending and implementing process improvements where applicableRequirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field 8+ years of professional Payroll and Tax management experienceExperience with payroll tax in a multi-state and multi-jurisdiction environmentExcellent people skills and ability to work in a team environmentAbility to develop strong working relationships throughout the organization at all levelsDemonstrated ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing prioritiesMust be able to effectively manage changes and support impacted areas of the business Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge and background in payroll accounting and tax practices and principlesPayroll tax compliance experience with a public companyExperience working with ADP SmartCompliance for Payroll TaxExperience with mergers and acquisitions related payroll tax complianceProficient in Microsoft Office applications.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work with a wide range of internal and external customers.\Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and produce accurate and timely resultsWe offer a highly competitive benefits package, including: Medical, Dental and Vision Health Care Reimbursement Dependent Care Reimbursement Wellness Programs Employee Assistance Plan Paid Holidays and Vacation 401(k) with Company matching Pension Short and Long-Term Disability Life Insurance Packages Educational/Tuition Assistance Plan College Scholarship Program – for dependent children Matching Gift Program Employee Discount Program At Martin Marietta, we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
