Payroll Tax Specialist

Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist.
Responsibilities:
* Ensuring that payroll is compliant with all new legislative laws and educating the staff on any new changes
* Research and apply, as directed, for potential payroll and/or work tax credits
* Maintain SUI rate updates within ADP Payroll Tax Service to ensure that the company is not overpaying unemployment taxes
* Prepare registration applications for State and Local Income Tax and/or Unemployment tax id's when necessary (work closely with the Corporate Tax Department)
* Weekly Tax Reconciliation to ensure there are no payroll tax issues at the employee level, within ADP, resolve and follow up on tax reconciliation issues on a timely basis
* Quarterly tax filing reconciliation, validation, submission/approval, including amended returns
* Research and resolve tax notices from the state agencies with ADP Tax Services
* Maintain Worker's Comp rates for each company and state within ADP
* Maintain and resolve ADP Tax Services cases related to all tax issues/questions
* Set up various tax codes within the Payroll system as well as within ADP Tax Services
* Reconciling quarterly and yearly returns, processing of year end W2's, W2C's, T4's, and processing and/or requesting adjustments related to payroll tax issues for all entities
* Processing of Relocation adjustments, Imputed Income adjustments, and Tuition Reimbursement adjustments and ensuring that these adjustments are accurately reflected on the employees pay records for W2 reporting
* Ensuring that payroll is compliant with all new legislative laws and educating the staff on any legislative changes for Canada
* Working with the Payroll Specialist, business unit, and Finance on submitting the monthly EHT filings
* Working with the Payroll Supervisor to coordinate the Year End T4 Reconciliation, and Printing of T4's, including any manual adjustments and/or amended T4 filings
