PB Analyst Team Lead - Revenue Integrity/CDM

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

The Revenue Integrity Analyst Team Lead will maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.

The team lead will work with professional charging areas to ensure accurate charge capture of professional services.

The team lead will assist other revenue integrity analyst to ensure their accurate understanding of charge capture of professional services.

The team lead will work with professional charging areas to ensure adherence to correct clinical documentation workflow for charge capture.

The team lead will assist other revenue integrity analyst in troubleshooting charge capture issues due to workflow.

The team lead will assist with running reports from Epic to disseminate to professional charging areas on incomplete notes and procedures.

The team lead will provide education and instruction to clinical areas including physicians/APPS for accurate charge capture. 

The team lead will provide education and instruction to new revenue integrity analysts.

The team lead will provide ongoing education and instruction to revenue integrity analysts as necessary.

Works closely with the Epic IT Analysts to support and perform ongoing maintenance of clinical documentation workflow and charge capture.

The team lead will be responsible for reviewing and reporting on special projects as designated by the director.

 

Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly

 

Qualifications /Training:

Requires experienced proficiency in MS Excel. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand and explain the complexities of charge capture as it relates to coding. Analytical and detail oriented with an ability to identify root causes and propose solutions. Must have strong knowledge of CPT-4 and HCPCS. Prefer Epic experience but not required Must have a strong knowledge of professional billing Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school CPC or RHIT certification preferred
