PC Network Technician

Scaled Composites is seeking a PC Network Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The PC Network Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. Installs telephones, cables and connectors, and attendant software. Assist others in the implementation of the Scaled Network. Maintains trouble logs. Instruct users in the use of personal computers and networks. Investigates information, network, and communications needs of users.

Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

Reviews the helpdesk ticket queue and addresses tickets in a timely mannerParticipates in new installations, testing, and special projects as neededWorks with system and network administrators to resolve support issues, escalating where appropriateDocuments computer and network problems and resolutions for future referenceInstalls, troubleshoots, services, and repairs computers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectorsAssists the network team with cabling and terminations when neededInstructs and assists employees in the proper use of computer and network resourcesProvides off-hours coverage when required

Required Skills and Qualifications:   

Proficient understanding of computer/network-related systems and their practical applications to problems and situationsExperience in Active Directory configuring user and computer accountsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously under frequently changing prioritiesGood verbal and written communication skillsGood interpersonal and customer service skillsGood organizational skills and attention to detailGood time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to perform effectively in a high paced and dynamic environment Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory administration, and LAN/WAN networkingAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance 

Education and Experience: 

Minimum of 2+ years' college education in Computer Science / Information Technology, or 2+ years’ experience in supporting computer and network systems.Must have a DoD 8570 IAT level II (or higher) security certification (examples: Security+ CE) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hireCompTIA (Network+, A+) and/or Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MCSE or MCSA) a plus
