DESKTOP SPECIALIST - Gulfport, MS **6 month Contract to Hire** Description *** Must be eligible to pass a fingerprint back ground check that checks all misdemeanors and felonies in all states across the entire lifespan of the individual.*** Our TEKsystems client is looking for a Desktop Specialist with around 2 years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and installing PCs, printers, desktops, etc. They are also looking for someone who has experience supporting O365, Microsoft Teams, Windows 10, etc. This will be a 6-month contract with the potential to become a FTE. Technical Skills: This person will provide technical support and troubleshooting, assistance, and ticket resolution for personal computers, iOS devices, peripherals, and wireless networking. Monitor and prioritize ticket que. SolarWinds is used as their ticketing system. Utilize their installation checklist to document installs and set ups for hardware equipment listed above Microsoft teams support – this team gets a lot of tickets from end users who are wanting to know how to use Microsoft Teams so this person needs to have the ability to troubleshoot and walk users through how to use it. O365 - This person will help distribute licenses, troubleshoot error messages, wireless PC issues, send out remote updates, etc. Some remote updates that are sent out don’t always complete right away so this person will have to go to their PC and troubleshoot the issue. Other standard desktop related issues that arise. Could be hardware or software issues so this person needs to have the ability to troubleshoot and asks the right questions. Additional Skills & Qualifications The team is looking for someone who is outgoing and can mesh well with the team, has a positive attitude and personality, willing to learn and be trained on hospital systems, retain the knowledge they’ve been taught, on time every day, good customer service skills, etc. We are looking for technicians who are self-motivated and will try to troubleshoot the issue before immediately asking for help. Sometimes this team comes across issues that they have never seen before, but the internet is their friend. The manager tells his team to try any 3 things before asking for help. If they do have to ask for help they need to have all information when reaching out to someone – What the problem is, what they tried to do to fix the issue, what error they got while trying to fix it – all before reaching out to someone else. Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $21.15/hr.
