Eaton’s CPDI PDI division is currently seeking a PCB Technician - 1st. The Richmond, VA site specifically focuses in on cirtical power distibution for multiple segments; those including Utitlites, Data Centers, Hospitality, and Commercial Instiutions. The Printed Circuit Boardroom Technician offers a 40-hour paid week with hours being from 7:00am-3:30pm, full benefits, and 401K match plan.
The hourly rate for this position is $24.96 per hour.

What you’ll do:The PCB Technician is responsible for working with the Logistics Supervisor and other employees to maintain a clear work area, track board inventory and assist all departments. Ensures that proper components are functional, set up properly and issued for jobs.
In this function you will:
• Receive & count all Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)
• Place PCBs in correct locations and file the appropriate paperwork
• Ensure PCB inventory accuracy by making necessary inventory transactions in the system to and from proper locations
• Provide production with the necessary PCBs needed for each job
• Provide Service Department with spare parts or replacement boards
• Participate in cycle counting activities
• Troubleshoot bad PCBs
• Program & test all PCBs
• Test software and approve new versions of same
• Keep the Board Room clean and organized
• Comply with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
• Performs daily activities as directed.
Required (Basic):
• Minimum Associates degree in electronics (2-year degree) or related discipline.
• Knowledge of electronics, circuit boards, soldering experience, and organization skills.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Richmond, VA location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred:
• Completed welding, brazing, or soldering certificate
• Experience in manufacturing, production, packaging or construction, or equivalent education
• Previous experience with standard operating procedures
• Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair
• Basic working knowledge and experience with computers
• Physical count of inventory needed to manage materials.
• Must be able to manage inventory by computer access.
• Deal with a complex boards and software to properly complete an order.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently and in a team.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
• Individual may be required lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
