Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will participate in design review meetings, review quality issues, work with engineers to check design issues, and troubleshoot manufacturing solutions. This role involves catching foreshadowing issues and ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing processes.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in design review meetings.Review quality issues and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with engineers to check design issues and provide solutions.Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and identify potential issues.Ensure adherence to class C manufacturing standards within the defense, space, and electronics/computer manufacturing industries.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience with PCBA workflows.Proficiency in reflow soldering and PCBA manufacturing.Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing Assembly (DFMA).Familiarity with single piece flow and visual management processes.Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, or equivalent experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Understanding of space hardware manufacturing.Ability to work on complex projects with detailed processes.Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience.Work Environment
You will be part of a team of 15, collaborating closely with planning, purchasing, manufacturing, and shipping teams. Our work environment is dynamic, with a consistent influx of contracts and exposure to various projects, including space applications. You will wear many hats and gain experience in a fast-paced, innovative setting. Our projects include notable achievements such as designs on the moon and contributions to the Google Moonshop project and NASA's ISSI project.
