Patient Care Technician (PCT/HUC) : Surgical-Telemetry /Orthopedic-Neuro-Spine unit.

Unit Description:

3G/H is a 37-bed telemetry/medical surgical unit specializing in but not limited to orthopedic/neuro/spine patients. This unit is accredited by the JC as a Total Joint Center for Orthopedic Excellence. The unit serves as a secondary stroke unit as well as general cardiac/telemetry patients. The patients are transferred in from PACU, ED, interventional areas, and direct admissions from MD offices.

Shift: Part-time, Nights

Job Description: Nursing Assistant (PCT/HUC):

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Patient Care Tech (PCT/HUC) provides direct patient care and related support. Performs selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year Nursing clinicals. (Must provide a letter from school verifying completion of first year clinicals.)Basic Life Support (must be obtained within three months of hire)
