We are currently hiring for an Electrical Engineer to support a reputable A&E firm with a large presence in the Midwest. The firm focuses on publicly funded projects for state and federal work including jails, correctional facilities, municipality buildings, first responder buildings, fire stations, police stations, distribution centers, and postal services. The firm also has a large contract with the USPS to perform MEP design on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
+ Project manage various clients throughout Ohio, Michigan, and Florida.
+ Provide oversight to the production of drawings.
+ Conduct quality control and document checking produced by less tenured designers/drafters.
+ Design and produce drawings within Revit.
+ Assist other MEP teams located throughout the Midwest.
+ Focus on building power distribution and lighting design.
+ Travel to client sites throughout the Midwest (approximately 10% travel).
+ Interface with customers and provide solutions to project issues.
+ Answer questions or concerns from clients.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ Professional Engineering license (preferred and required for remote work).
+ 5-15 years of experience with exposure to Revit electrical MEP design, project management, and mentoring less tenured designers/drafters.
+ Understanding of Revit and the ability to produce construction documents.
+ Experience in project management for commercial projects (government/public sector or industrial preferred).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in Revit MEP, MEP engineering, MEP design, building design, facility design, commercial construction, commercial design, and government contracts.
Work Environment
This position is 100% remote for individuals with a PE license located in Jacksonville, FL; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Detroit, MI; Lansing, MI; St. Joseph, MI; Northwest Indiana; or other locations in the Eastern or Central time zones. Individuals without a PE license are required to come into the office. You must live near a major city in the Midwest with a large airport for client site travel. The role offers the opportunity to work on unique, federally and state-funded projects, and provides paid holidays and access to Udemy academy after 6 months of employment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.69
