Job Mission
ASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. This position is for an Junior Computer Engineer with innovative attitude to work in the Production Engineering Test department within the Wilton Factory. The individual will work with Production and Development test engineers to assist in development , implementation and release of multidisciplinary test equipment. Implementing documented procedures and processes for networking best practices. Ultimately contributing to the improvement and ensuring the safety of network connected production test stands within the Manufacturing work centers.
Providing support in a manufacturing environment for Electro Mechanical test equipment and module output is part of the daily work routine.
Job Description
Multitasking a wide variety of issues pertaining to Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Computer and Networking. Assisting Engineers to provide quick response to troubleshoot electro-mechanical modules and subassemblies. Ability to quickly acquire technical knowledge from documentation and from on-the-job training. Software and Backup Installations on production test stands.Support the Computer OS and programming language upgrades for proprietary tooling: investigate, plan, implement.Support onboarding of computers to the local networkDevelop Fishbones and troubleshooting guidelines.Support analysis on test data and derive conclusions.Support development of Manufacturing procedures and technical work instructions.Work with team members to support the creation of hardware/software solutions to securely connect factory equipment to the factory's network.Developing strategies to secure factory output.Spends about 50% of time in the Cleanroom providing direct support to production test engineering and troubleshooting computer and network issues.The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment:full gowning (full body coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves and safety glasses. Working under ISO 9000/14000 standards).Working around overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet movers.Working around electrical test equipment, lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals.
Education and Experience
B.S. in any of the following:
Computer EngineerComputer ScienceElectrical EngineeringComputer Networking1 – 2 years’ experience in the following disciplines:
SW knowledge a plus with: C#, C/C++, LabView ,Python, MS Visual Studio, and MATLAB.Networking Windows, Unix, and Proprietary OS systems.Electrical Engineering basics and use of test equipment.Working knowledge with integrated Hardware/Software testers.Basic Knowledge of computer networkingKnowledge of Software design conceptsKnowledge with network security architectures and products, including firewalls , intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).Personal skills
