Pediatric BMT House Physician
Overview Fairview Health Services is seeking casual physician to join the Pediatric Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant Team and provide clinical care at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital . The Hospitalist Service provides 24/7/365 coverage on the Pediatric BMT inpatient service. The hospitalist team is team is integrated into the provider team, which includes faculty physicians, pediatric hematology/oncology and pediatric BMT fellows as well as pediatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Hospitalists have a rotating schedule covering day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts. Under the guidance of the Pediatric BMT faculty, the hospitalist will admit new Pediatric BMT patients with various diseases and manage the care of existing patients who develop transplant related complications. The Hospitalist can expect to develop, implement and monitor treatment plans, evaluate and manage acutely ill patients, communicate with patients and families, and consult with the BMT faculty, fellow and other consultants. Practice Details: Join a team of 6 Hospitalist Physicians, APP’s, 10 academic physicians and other interdisciplinary team members. Our team delivers care on our 24 bed pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant unit. As a Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO), our physicians use a multidisciplinary team approach in managing clinical care. BC/BE with the ABMS Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure. Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Preferred Qualifications: While interested candidates need not have prior BMT experience, pediatric intensive care and/or hematology/oncology experience gained during residency and beyond is preferred.
