**Overview** **Fairview Health Services is hiring a Casual Pediatric Echocardiography Technician (Pediatric Sonographer) to join our team in the Pediatric Echo Lab at our M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital locations in Minneapolis, MN.** The Echocardiographer performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases. As a Pediatric Echocardiographer, you will need to have the ability to evaluate pediatric patients with sophisticated congenital heart disease. We bring together a deep understanding of academic medicine and sophisticated clinical care to tailor our therapies to each patient’s individual condition. **Schedule** **:** This position is a casual role. **Responsibilities Job Description** + Demonstrating the ability to evaluate the cardiac status by using a logical and systematic approach to analyze the heart and related structures segmentally. + Evaluating pediatric patients with complex congenital heart disease + Providing relevant echocardiographic data, making quantitative calculations and communicating the impressions for the physicians. + Accurately Document a preliminary echocardiogram report + Demonstrating extensive knowledge of the incidence, causes, inheritance patterns, and pathologic consequences of congenital malformations **Qualifications** **Qualifications** · Associate of Applied Science Degree in Non-Invasive Imaging · 5 years of Pediatric Echocardiography experience · Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – adult, pediatric · BLS Certification within 3 months of hire **Preferred** · Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Non-Invasive Imaging · 10 years of Pediatric Echocardiography experience · Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – fetal **EEO Statement** EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status
