Job Details

ChristianaCare is looking for a Pediatric Hospitalist to join our Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) program and provide family-centered and evidence-based care to ChristianaCare’s neonatal and pediatric patients.  We have a large medicine-pediatrics hospitalist program and welcome medicine-pediatrics applicants. BC/BE in General Pediatrics required.  Our mission is twofold: to provide exceptional care for children, and to provide an exceptional work environment for our faculty and staff.

Program Highlights:

New leadership team with a focus on purpose-driven multidisciplinary work, transparent communication, and both support and growth of departmental divisions.

Academic affiliation with Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University (optional).

Clinical opportunities: serving patients in multiple settings, including inpatient pediatrics, newborn nursery, delivery room, and satellite sites.

Educational opportunities: resident teaching (Pediatrics, Med-Peds, Family Medicine) and medical student (Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University) teaching.

Career development opportunities: quality & safety, departmental and institutional committee involvement, leadership education, formal mentorship.

Collaborative opportunities: level II and level III NICUs, ambulatory pediatrics network, Pediatric Emergency Medicine team, and both in-house and external sub-specialty consultants.

Educational resources include: Neonatology & Pediatrics Grand Rounds, multidisciplinary SIMs, a medical library, and a 9000 sq ft SIM Center for skills training.

Flexibility.  Part-time applicants welcome.  Additional compensation for nocturnist work.
