Job DescriptionUM Shore Medical Center: 126 licensed beds, low volume, 3 Pediatric Units.Work-life balance: 12-hour shifts, 6 shift bi-weeklyAverage Daily Encounters: 5-12 ppdRounding, Consultations, Admissions and discharges for : well baby nursery, special care nursery, pediatric unit and attends deliveries as needTakes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations.Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients.Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.Interprets laboratory and test results.Confers with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care. Supervising physician on shift at all times

UM Shore Medical Group at Easton, a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking full-time experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist in Easton, MD.  At Shore Regional Health, you can learn, grow and make a lasting impact on patients and families. You’ll experience the support of a collaborative work environment and a sense of collegiality unlike any other. This position will assist the team in caring for pediatrics admitted to the inpatient unit.

QualificationsMaster’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in specialty area required.Possesses and maintains current Board Certification as Acute Care Pediatrics Nurse PractitionerRequired minimum of 2 years experience in a pediatric inpatient setting as an NPPossesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.Demonstrates appropriate qualifications and experience to perform the duties required of this position.Additional Information
