Pediatric Hospitalist Physician
Overview Job Specifics OSF is seeking a pediatrician to serve primarily in our Level II newborn nursery within Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL This physician would also be on-call for triage, stabilization, and consultation for pediatric trauma within the emergency room only and admitted pediatric burns. Assume primary responsibility for intitiating, supervising, and reviewing the plan for management of distressed infants. Serves as consultant on admitted pediatric burn patients. Responds to any trauma activation for pediatric patients to the emergency room to support stabilization prior to transfer to a pediatric Level I trauma center. Support elective and emergent c-sections and round on newborns daily. Demonstrates positive working relationships and demonstrates collaborative team-oriented behaviors with: staff physicians, nurses, other departments, other members of the medical staff. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Doctorate Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state. Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal heath programs. Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
