Pediatric Nephrology - Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor
Job Description:The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida is seeking a board certified/eligible pediatrician at the Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor level to pursue a non-tenure or tenure track career in the Division of Nephrology. This requisition is open to applicants interested in non tenure track or tenure track position. Rank and tenure will be awarded based on applicants qualifications and experience.
The Pediatric Nephrology division provides comprehensive renal care and manages hypertension in neonates up to age 21 years old. Renal care includes dialysis, (HD and PD), CRRT, plasmapheresis, renal biopsy, and participating with clinical trials involving the Pediatric Nephrology division.
Candidate will provide outpatient care in the department’s pediatric multidisciplinary clinic, outpatient infusion center, dialysis unit, the OR procedure suite (for renal biopsy). Inpatient care is performed at UF Health Shand’s Children’s Hospital, inpatient service is shared between other nephrology attendings. This includes consultations, and direct divisional patient care, which may include transplant management, dialysis/CRRT, Plasmapheresis, renal biopsy, and multispecialty patient care conferences. Additionally, education of housestaff, fellows, and medical students assigned to either inpatient or outpatient rotations.
Expected Salary:Commensurate with education and experience
Minimum Requirements:Applicants must have a M.D degree or equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida in Pediatrics and be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Nephrology.
