Job Title: Psychiatric LPN Department: Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Location: Rockingham, NC Job Type: Full-Time, Nights (8 PM - 8 AM), 8-Week Contract Start Date: December 2, 2024 Pay Rate: $34/HR (local) or $1676/Week (Travel) Job Summary: The Nightshift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) program for adolescent boys and girls plays a crucial role in empowering young individuals with the skills they need to become active members of their community. Utilizing evidence-based practices, the LPN will work with clients in a group setting where positive peer support is integral to the healing process. The LPN will facilitate group sessions aimed at increasing self-confidence, maintaining mental stability, developing employment opportunities, and enhancing community interaction. Key Responsibilities: + Provide direct nursing care to adolescent clients during night shifts. + Facilitate and support group sessions, promoting positive peer interactions. + Monitor and document clients’ progress and overall well-being. + Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. + Collaborate with PSR staff to develop and implement care plans. + Ensure a safe and supportive environment during group activities. + Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed. Qualifications: + Current and valid LPN license in North Carolina. + Experience in mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation, particularly with adolescents, preferred. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. + Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. + Ability to work night shifts, including every other weekend.
