The University of Florida Department of Pediatrics is pleased to announce a faculty opening for a full-time Pediatric Psychologist in the Division of Pediatric Neurology.This position will primarily support the needs of patients with neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders, including epilepsy, neuromuscular conditions, and developmental delays. There will also be opportunities to provide services for other patient populations based on departmental needs. This will be a non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate, or Full Professor.
The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary medical behavioral health team that is integrated into a large, multi-site, multispecialty practice within an academic medical center. While patients will primarily be referred by care providers within pediatric neurology, referrals may also come from other pediatric subspecialties. The candidate will work extensively with patients in the UF Health/Shands Neurology Clinic and associated inpatient and outpatient settings.
The psychologist will provide a broad range of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and their families, including triage, consultation, care coordination, DSM-5 diagnostic assessments, problem-focused, evidence-based interventions, and referrals to other behavioral health and general pediatrics providers at UF Health and in the community as needed. Additionally, the psychologist will perform Neurology specific testing including ADOS, MIDAS, and additional testing as needed. The assignment will consist of clinical assessment and evaluation, psychotherapy, and the possibility of teaching, research, and administrative activities depending on the interests of the candidate.

UF Health faculty work in multidisciplinary teams with researchers in the five other Health Science Center colleges, as well as those from across the University. Minimum Requirements:
A doctorate in psychology from an accredited college or university, which includes one year of supervised internship experience in professional psychology.
Active/Unrestricted license in the State of Florida or license eligible in the State of Florida.
