Pediatric Psychologist (Outpatient) - Full Time - Clifton, NJReq #:42753 Category:Psychologist Status:Full-Time Shift:Please note in comments to HR section below Facility:Childrens Specialized Hosp Department:Psychology CLF Location: Children’s Specialized Hospital (CSH), 1135 Broad St Suite 215, Clifton, NJ 07013 Job Overview: As an integral member of our team, you will evaluate patients psychotherapeutic needs, perform psychological testing, and provide psychotherapy for our outpatient populations as needed. Qualifications: Required: + PhD, PsyD, or EdD + NJ Psychology license + AHA BLS Provider Certification + Valid Driver s license + Experience working with children/teens on the Autism spectrum + 1+ year of job-related experience + 1+ year of children and/or adolescent experience + Experience with cognitive behavioral modification + Ability to relate therapeutically with the professional team, children, adolescents and their parents/significant others Preferred: + Standard battery testing experience + Experience working with children/teens with chronic illness and/or health psychology Certifications and Licenses Required: + NJ Psychology license + AHA BLS Provider Certification + Valid Driver s license Scheduling Requirements: + Full Time + 40 hours/week + Flexible Scheduling + Partial remote includes after school/evening hours (ex: 4-7pm) Essential Functions: + Performing complete psycho-diagnostic evaluations and Identify realistic goals for psychotherapy + Providing effective individual, family and group psychotherapy + Attending program development and case conferences for patients treated or evaluated + Understanding developmental needs of patient when planning and implementing treatments + Obtaining and interpreting patient s behavior based on an understanding of cognitive, bio-psychosocial and aging processes + Providing in-services to staff and community agencies as necessary + Supervising staff, fellows, interns and externs as needed Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
