Join the Cleveland Clinic' Pediatric Pulmonary Function Testing team, where you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world

As a Pediatric PFT, you will perform pulmonary function testing according to the latest ATS/ERS standards. You will perform and analyze quality control data and perform advanced invasive or noninvasive protocols. Opportunities will be provided to share educational in-services to staff, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants.

A caregiver in this position works day shift Monday-Friday, with an on-call weekend rotation every 6th weekend.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Work well in a collaborative, team-based setting.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:

Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPFT) credentialing from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Minimum of 1 year direct patient care experience

Preferred qualifications include:

3 years of pediatric patient care experience

Previous pulmonary function testing experience

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through AHA

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification

Physical Requirements:

Ability to administer six minute walk tests at a pace of at least 3.0 mph (average walking speed), ability to move K cylinders onto dollies, ability to change gas cylinder regulators with a wrench and ability to lift boxes up to 25 pounds in weight.

Ability to perform pulmonary function tests for demonstration purposes and for the collection of biological control data for QC purposes.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
