Job Overview:
As a pediatric RN, you will provide rehabilitative nursing care for pediatric patients and their families in an inpatient facility.

Demonstrates evidence of use of the nursing process within time frames defined by the hospital and departmental policyRecognizes and accurately identifies patient and family healthcare needsPlans, implements and evaluates pediatric rehab plans for patients with a variety of problemsBegins to plan and implement pediatric rehabilitation rationalesImplements appropriate and individualized patient and family education within time frames defined by hospital and departmental policyBegins planning and implementing patient and family educationUnderstands the importance of the interdisciplinary processFunctions as a rehab nurse in a team structurePromotes continuity of nursing care and interdisciplinary interventionsIncorporates LPNs and nursing assistants into attainment of short-term goals and delegates appropriatelyRecognizes and respects patient|family rights in a culturally and religiously sensitive environment of careRequests guidance from CNII, III, and other resources when appropriateSupports hospital s policies and proceduresConsistently appraises clinical performance and learning needs through self-evaluationExhibits consistent professional behavior and is accountable for actions with regard to professional issuesGuides, assists and serves as a role model for, LPNs, nurse externs, nursing assistants, nursing students and new staffAssumes the role of relief charge nurseKeeps nursing supervisor informed of patient needs and problemsDemonstrates effective problem-solving skillsOther Duties:
