Ratios: 1:6
Years of experience REQ: 2 year of RECENT Peds ER experience or 3 years of combined adult and Peds experience required
First-timers accepted: YES
Weekend REQ: EOW à will work holidays
Certs REQ: BLS, PALS
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No
Open to accommodating block schedule? No guarantee but will try
Locals accepted: Yes
Pending License accepted: Yes – must apply within 24-48 hours of offer. PROOF of application required, or offer will be rescinded.
RTO Restrictions: 1 week max – must make up if it’s a whole week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours – open to 48 hours with no OT until after 48 hours

Missed shifts are required to be made up
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse assumesresponsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing processand the delivery of patient care in the emergency room setting or other emergentcritical care areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, andevaluate patient care Uses clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient caresafely and effectively Triages effectively according to the severity and criticalnature of patients’ condition Comprehensively assesses a patient’s needs, obtaining theirmedical history and personal information, and seeking a doctor’s evaluationimmediately for life-threatening issues Communicates with other medical professionals involved inthe patient’s care in a timely manner Identifies and recognizes abnormal symptoms and changes inpatient condition, established priorities, and takes appropriate action Carries out providers orders accurately and timely Performs, delegates, and supervises patient care activitieswithin the scope of practice to meet the age-appropriate patient care needs Performs and/or assists in emergency treatment as requiredin accordance with RN scope of practice Follows emergency policies, procedures and protocols in aneffective manner Assesses the patient’s physical, psychosocial,environmental, social, and educational needs Develops, implements and updates patient’s plan of care,including the education and discharge plan based on evidence-based practicestandards and patient/family needs in collaboration with multi-disciplinaryhealthcare team Performs other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:
