Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist
The SLP will evaluate, and provide therapy services to clients with speech and/or language disorders, formulate individualized treatment programs, keep appropriate records, and inform relevant parties about the clients' progress. Responsibilities: + Provide SLP services to clients aged 2-8 years old + Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' goals and needs + Help clients improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders + Maintain timely and accurate client records and reports to ensure client progress + Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care + Educate families on strategies for managing conditions and maximizing independence Skills: + Enthusiastic personality that will engage children + Strong client service skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care + Ability to collaborate and communicate with BCBAs, BTs, parents, and clients in a positive and constructive way. + Experience working with pediatric clients is highly preferred + Excellent organizational skills + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with adults and children + Ability to plan, manage, and evaluate curriculum + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required for recordkeeping and documentation + Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation requirements Physical Requirements: + Prolonged periods of standing and sitting throughout the home and/or classroom + Must be able to lift to 45 pounds at a time + Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with clients Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
