Description Main Function: Provides clinical pediatric services and associated administrative and on-call services to UR Thompson Health’s pediatric patients in our state of the art, beautiful Canandaigua Medical Group facility. • Provides consistent, high quality, evidence-based care and assures regulatory compliance. • Liaisons with practice management and hospital administration on behalf of the practice. • Fosters a cohesive Thompson identity by demonstrating Thompson Health's CARES Values (Commitment, Action, Respect, Excellence & Service) • Always acts in the patient’s best interest. • Assists the health system in meeting strategic goals. Required Job Specific Competencies: • Recognized competence in outpatient clinical pediatric practice. • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all staff and providers. • Leads a patient centered practice. • Knowledge of recognized best pediatric patient care practices. • Ability to provide timely outpatient telephone call coverage. • Consistent excellence in physician-patient and physician-staff communications. • Actively guards confidential and protected information. • Generates legible, meaningful and timely (within two business days of date of service) comprehensive patient care records sufficient for all patient care, regulatory, billing and other uses of the medical record. . • Responsible for ensuring all professional licenses, registrations, liability insurance education and renewal requirements and applicable physician certifications are up to date and current as required for employment. Requirements: Qualifications: • Unrestricted NYS medical license with current registration required. • DEA license required. • Board-certified in Pediatrics required. Board-eligibility within the first three years of graduation from an ACGME-approved Pediatrics residency program acceptable. • Able to gain appropriate FFTH Medical Staff privileges. • Acceptable professional liability insurance experience such that physician is acceptable for malpractice insurance by FFTH’s malpractice carrier without surcharge. Education: • MD or DO degree required, or MBBS or other such equivalent. • Completion of ACGME accredited residency in Pediatrics required. • Meets continuing education requirements of the American Board of Pediatricians for maintenance of certification required. Experience: • Three years post-graduate residency training in Pediatrics or completion of other ACGME accredited residency program leading to Board Certification in pediatrics – required. Pay Range: $175,000 - $275,000. Salary guarantee for up to two years. Starting Pay: Based on Experience Full benefits package including $100k in student loan repayment!
