Peer Specialist (Early Psychosis)
PEER SPECIALIST Early Psychosis $20.25 per hour $21.00 per hour with certification Do you identify as someone who has lived experience? The Discovery Team is an Early Psychosis (EP) Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) Team serving individuals who have experienced the onset of psychotic symptoms. In your role, you will work alongside a Clinicians, Prescribers, Education and Employment Specialists, and other Peer Specialists. What You Will Do: Must identify with significant life disruption due to a mental health diagnosis, substance use, trauma, extreme states, or other systems involvement (homelessness, foster care system, incarceration) that enables the peer support specialist to provide support to those in services in a unique and distinct way. Must be able to identify the supports, resources, and skills that may lead to increased wellness and be able to support others to identify those areas for themselves. This is a mobile position providing services in the communities surrounding Bedford, MA. Who You Are: Must be eligible to complete a certification that is recognized by the state of Massachusetts, including the Certified Peer Specialist (CPS). Pathway to Certification will be completed upon hire and Peer Support Specialist I will be actively mentored to complete certification as required by relevant contract within 6 months of hire. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required. First Aid and CPR within three months of hire required. Lived experience with psychosis preferred.
