THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION WITH NO BENEFITS OFFERED.
Contractor will provide services and otherwise do all things necessary for or incidental to the performance of work, as set forth below:
· Must have a lived experience with substance use disorder and have at minimum one year of recovery
· Develop relationship with ER’s and criminal justice populations to provide peer services to those with opioid and/or stimulant use disorder with goal of connecting to NE Delta’s services
· Assist in creating a recovery-oriented environment by addressing barriers and negative messages and making recommendations for improvement
· Assist clients who have experienced social stigmatization with their sense of acceptance and affiliation
· Provide practical help, mentoring, advocacy, coordination of services, side-by-side individualized support, and problem-solving services
· Promote client self-advocacy skills
· Assist clients with the development of community supports
· Represent the agency and the peers support program at health fairs, festivals, and other public gatherings
· Provide education on addictive disorders through peer to peer program for clients and their families
· Participate in program recruitment and referrals
· Develop and coordinate creative group outlets, group activities and special events
· Assist with coordination of opioid LaSOR program
· Plan and coordinate the monitoring and reporting process, ensuring all required data and reports are submitted appropriately
· Serves as liaison with the state-wide Peer Recovery Support Specialist housed at OBH
· As a member of the Crisis/Outreach mobile team members will provide the following services primarily to individuals with or at risk for opioid use disorder (OUD):
o Outreach
o Mobile peer recovery services, including recovery coaching
o SBIRT, crisis intervention, distribution of brochures, NARCAN kits and other material or resources within the LGE catchment area
o Data collection to capture outreach encounters during mobile activities required by SAMHSA/OBH
· Assist in obtaining services that suit that individual’s recovery needs by providing names of staff, community resources and groups that may be useful
· Inform clients about community and natural supports and how to use these in the recovery process. Community resources may include but not limited to: social security office, department of family and children services, local YMCA, Library, restaurants, clients’ services organizations, apartment complexes and other types of housing, etc.

Must have a lived experience with substance use disorder and have at minimum one year of recovery
