This will be done by b u ilding community p a rtn e rships, e xpanding c u lt u ral alli a nces, r e cr u i t i ng, facili t ating s u ppor t ive ac t i v i t i e s, and training pe e r (family/ y outh) advocates, and assisting organizations to incor p orate y outh and family voi c e at m u lt i ple l e v e ls. This position will also pro v ide cons u l ta t i on with t h e Wraparo u nd training and R e plicat i on T e ams. Essential Du t ies and Res p onsibilities: 1 . A cq u ire the Pe e r Beha v i oral H e alth C e r t ifica t ion 6 . Coordinate the ongoing e xpansion of P ee r Reco ve ry Sp e cialist C e r t ifica t ions within Brevard County and Replication sites as applicab l e ; pro v ide o ngoing training and support to these individuals as applicable. 7 . Coordinate social media activit i es a nd assist with the e x pansion of v i rt u a l int e raction with famili e s and y ou t h. Qualificati o ns: 1 . Personal “lived” e x per i ence r e p r esenting F a mily/You t h Voice in at l e ast one of the following s y stems (Child W e lfar e , Men t al Hea l th, and/or another mandated system) i.e. parent or c a regiver of a child (or children) or a d olescent with a primary mental hea l th need and has received or is c u rr e ntly r e c e i v ing s e r v ic e s f o r t he s e ne eds. You t h t hat h as ex p e r i en ce d the f os t er care s y s t e m and/or has or is li v ing w i th a m e ntal h e alth chall e n g e . 2 . High school diploma and at least 5 yea r s’ exp e ri ence of professional advocacy or social se r v i ce ex pe r i ence. 3 . BA/BS preferred - b ac he l or’s d e gree w i th a t le ast 5 y e ars o f profession a l advocacy or social se r v i ce ex pe r i ence. 4 . M u st have exp e rience na v i ga t i ng the Child Welfare System of Care or other formal sy s tems (i.e. Juvenile Justice, Educat i on, Mental Health) 5 . D e m o nstrate c u l t u ral and ling u is t i c comp e t e nce and sensi t i v ity to pop u lat i on s e r ve d. Skills/K n ow l edge/Exper i ence/Pers o nal Qualities Required: 1 . M u st be e xc e p t ionally w e ll organiz e d and be c apable of c ompleting a ssignme n t s with minim u m g u idance and s u p e r v ision. 2 . M u st be hi g hly s e lf-m o t i v at e d, and able to work independe n t l y w h en r e qu i red. 3 . E xc e ll e nt int e rp e rsonal and comm u n ication skill s ; must be ab l e to work w e ll with famili e s and youth, senior man a gers and p r oviders. 4 . M u st poss e ss skills in Wor d , E xc e l, O ut l ook and v i rt u al m e eting pla t forms.
