DescriptionAs People Advisor, you’ll be a key member of our team in helping to create a positive employee experience and a great working environment for our colleagues. In this operational role, you will support our managers and colleagues across all employee life cycle events.   The focus of your role will be on proactively managing people-related matters, ensuring early interventions are put in place to ensure swift resolutions. Working with managers and the People Operations team, you will act as a trusted advisor supporting on all people-related matters such as performance, conduct and wellbeing.   This is a great opportunity for an established People Advisor / aspiring People Partner who is seeking a role that offers variety, impact, and the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary People Team. We would be particularly keen to hear from people with a keen interest in employee relations and employee experience.   We are a busy team with several exciting projects on the go. Our team works on everything from pay and reward, talent management, and employee experience to resourcing and people analytics so you will gain exposure to several people activities to support your development as an HR professional.  

Key ResponsibilitiesThis operational role will focus on these key areas:  

\n\n People Advisory

\n\nAct as a trusted advisor to the business supporting managers with people-related matters including performance, conduct and wellbeing.  \nCase management (investigations, disciplinary and grievances) escalating where appropriate for support on complex issues.  \nProvide advice to managers on how to apply people policies and procedures to ensure they are used within our principles and in line with relevant employment law.  \nSupport the annual cycle of people activity including performance and goal setting, employee surveys and reward and benefit activity.  \nEnsure policies and procedures are maintained and updated with evolving legislation and internal changes.  \nManage escalated activity from People Administrators.  \nSupport with people initiatives such as our Thrive Events and engagement surveys.  \n  \nSystems, Data and Processes

\n\nWork with the People Operations team to continually develop our systems and automate key processes.  \nEnsure that our systems are updated with employee life cycle events.  \nUse data and insights to help drive continuous improvement across people activities. \nSupport with the production of monthly and quarterly board data reports. \n
\n Talent and Recruitment

\n\nAssist with a variety of recruitment activities including crafting job adverts, screening and interview candidates and liaising with hiring managers.  \nHelp to promote equity, diversity and inclusion in our hiring practices. \nSupport the Talent Partners on growing our employer brand and with projects to develop our apprenticeship, graduate, and work experience programmes.  \n \nInduction and Onboarding – Employee Experience

\n\nCoach managers on how to prepare for new colleagues and manage their first 12 months with particular focus on the probationary period.  \nWork with the wider team to create a positive employee experience, particularly in the first 12 months by supporting changes to hiring, onboarding, and induction processes.  \nAnalyse and present exit interview and pulse survey trends to the team and managers. \n  \nWhat success looks like  

\n\nProviding compliant and appropriate advice to managers.  \nHelping to reduce people issues and preventing matters escalating.  \nActing autonomously and escalating where appropriate for support and guidance.  \nContributing towards improved employee experience.  \nHelping to meet our Team KPIs and SLAs.  \nUsing data and insights to help drive continuous improvement.  \nPassionate about delivering great people outcomes.  \nPositive feedback from our colleagues and stakeholders. \n

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise\nCIPD (Level 5) and/or equivalent experience and knowledge.  \nHR generalist with demonstrable HR advisory and recruitment experience (preferably 3 years+).  \nProficient in UK employment law and keeps abreast of legislative changes.  \nSkilled in writing people policies and procedures.  \nExperience of working across the whole employee life cycle.  \nTech savvy with advanced word and excel skills.  \nA team player committed to achieving collective success.  \nAnalytical, highly organised, detail orientated, and results driven.  \nResilience and diplomacy, especially in managing challenging people issues. \n\nWhat we’ll do for you :\nIf you are looking to perfect your people advisory skills or are aspiring to become a People Partner, we’ll give you the necessary exposure, support, and development.  \nBe part of a growing international business and start learning about international employment law in the countries in which we are based.  \nBe surrounded by diverse and passionate colleagues, sharing, and learning knowledge.  \n\n
