Job Description
 

The most adaptive organisms are the ones that effectively absorb and respond to information. To help our organization evolve, we continuously collect, analyze, and distill information about our most important asset—our people—into insights that drive decisions. From pre-hire to post-termination, we leverage our vast trove of clean data about our 30,000+ workers to answer critical questions like, “Why has turnover gone up in my group?” and “What are the key drivers of employee engagement?”.

As a member of our world-class People Analytics team, the Insight Partner has the opportunity to convert global data into answers at scale. You’ll contribute to high-impact, cross-functional projects that not only advance our company’s mission but also challenge your abilities and grow your skills in an innovative science company. You’ll get to work alongside a strong team to design approaches for efficiently connecting data, apply diverse methods to uncover hidden patterns, and share data-driven narratives with a wide variety of audiences, including leaders, HR business partners, even the public.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Consult with HR, executive, and cross-functional stakeholders to convert business challenges into accurate analyses and crisp insights.Design and automate analytics processes to deliver compelling insights at scale.Integrate and analyze complex datasets using diverse methods (e.g., survival analysis, machine learning, text analysis).Evaluate the impact of programs, decisions, and events on our company’s talent and reputation.Articulate data-driven narratives that vividly reflect key dynamics and deeply resonate with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

We approach problems with humble curiosity to learn, explore, and mine the data for insights. Opportunities here are not bounded by your education degree, previous experience, etc.; only by the amount of effort you’re willing to put in to help our organization deliver on its mission.Concise communication style, and an ability to simplify complex concepts.Efficiency, organization, and attention to impactful details.BA or BS degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or 8+ years People/HR analytics, business analytics, industrial/organizational psychology, consulting, or similar experience.Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Hybrid role: on-site at least three days per week in Foster City, California.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to proactively drive your projects while working collaboratively.Python, R, ThoughtSpot, AWS, Workday, and/or Tableau proficiency.Machine learning or other advanced statistics (e.g., latent growth curve modeling) experience.People analytics, consulting, and/or human resources experience.


 

The salary range for this position is: $177,905.00 - $230,230.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
