People & Culture Director, Systems

Job Summary: 

The People & Culture Director, Systems is responsible for being the leader for the systems team by managing the function as the firm continues to grow.    The People & Culture Director, Systems will support and partner with the business and people & culture leaders to assess the firms needs and deliver effective solutions.  The People & Culture Director, Systems will consult, and problem solve with needed groups across the organization, as well as manage the ongoing administration, supervise all system related tasks and projects, and is responsible for overall People & Culture Systems execution.
 

Job Duties:

Develops business case and ROI for People & Culture system solutions  Serves as the primary People & Culture contact for IT to partner with as systems solutions are identified and implemented Actively participates on the Oracle Customer Advisory Board by attending meetings and establishing relationships with Oracle leaders Manages outside vendor relationships to assist with maintenance and resolving system issues and inquiries Researches new technology for People & Culture services and leverage full capability of existing People & Culture technology Serves as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, People & Culture and other groups to identify and resolves issues and implement appropriate resolutions and/or required system changes  Identifies gaps in processes and recommends solutions to resolve gap issues Leads the redesign of People & Culture processes using technology as enabler to streamline and improve workflow Responsible for data integrity and underlying processes to ensure highest integrity Monitors system effectiveness and activity Collaborates with IT and Procurement on vendor RFP process for all People & Culture system requirements Creates and supervises the delivery of system training for new People & Culture systems implementation and updates to existing systems Leads the implementation and ongoing enhancements of the HCM system and other People & Culture automated tools Manages and supervises the team’s administration and maintenance of the HCM system and other People & Culture automated tools, including security access, security protocols and programs Manages the coordination of all interfaces, in-bound and out-bound and ensures the information is correct and secure Coordinates with IT on new releases and upgrades to HCM. Review functionality, impact to P&C activities, and implementation schedules Develops reporting protocol and provide documentation and training to People & Culture community Performs special request, complex ad hoc queries and develop customized reports Implements standardized auditing processes and tools.  Partners with internal audit on necessary information Maintains current knowledge on systems and People & Culture issues that may impact P&C system operations Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees the day-to-day activities of People & Culture Systems team members as it relates to the systems maintenance and processing responsibilities Manages workload and ensures tasks are spreads across the team Supplies appropriate and necessary updates to People & Culture Systems team regarding system issues, as well as key releases and upgrades to ensure awareness of new system features and functions  Ensures People & Culture Systems team are trained on all relevant human resources and firm software Evaluates the performance of People & Culture Systems team members  Provides development opportunities and plans, assists in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional development Delivers periodic performance feedback and completes annual performance evaluations for People & Culture Systems team members Monitors work schedules and applicable overtime is approved and budgeted for appropriately. Assists with systems team budget preparation  Acts as mentor and Career Advisor to Systems team

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree, required Master’s Degree, preferred

Experience:

Nine (9) or more years of experience in human resource information systems, required Experience managing ERP, HCM, compensation, and/or performance management systems, preferred

Software:

Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, required Proficiency with Oracle HCM, Workday or other cloud services, required Prior experience or exposure of web-based applications such as SharePoint, preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills Solid organizational skills with the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details Ability to create and analyze complex spreadsheets highly preferred Solid analytical and diagnostic skills for use in dissecting complex issues Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously  Advanced project management experience to include effective delegation of diverse and multifaceted tasks to subordinates and colleagues Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external client personnel  Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels Ability to adapt communication style to successfully convey messages and objectives to diverse audience Capable of maintain confidential information and matters with discretion  Expert knowledge of administrator and all supported module functions of assigned systems to ensure efficient utilization of modular functions Knowledge related to assigned systems and People & Culture issues which may impact systems operations Capacity to facilitate efficient and effective meetings and presentations Travel 10% - 20%


 

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range:  $170,000 - $200,000
Maryland Range:  $170,000 - $200,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range:  $170,000 - $200,000
