General Summary The People and Culture Generalist is an HR professional responsible for providing comprehensive support across various human resource functions, focusing on fostering a positive employee experience by implementing initiatives that promote engagement, finding and retaining talent, building relationships, and supporting employee retention while actively contributing to a healthy company culture. This role is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations support, performance management, and compliance, acting as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, while ensuring alignment with company values and policies. Major Duties & Responsibilities + Assist in recruitment and staffing function from start to finish, including administration of the internal job posting process, writing, and posting employment ads, reviewing resumes, screening, and scheduling and conducting interviews for applicants, and performing background, references, and credit checks. Collects and maintains data for the Affirmative Action Plan. Files EEO-1 and Vets 100 reports annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Assists in the recruitment budget process. + Partners with hiring managers to design a recruitment strategy for each Department and ensure strategies align with labor trends and best practices. + Educate, train, and coach Managers on full life cycle recruitment. Supports managers on recruiting needs and steps for interviewing and hiring; to ensure smooth and equal recruiting processes. Manages recruiting documentation for accuracy and completion. + Builds networks and creates talent pools in new and existing markets for desirable skill sets through sourcing and relationship building. + Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. + Posts and maintains job descriptions for open positions ensuring consistency across all divisions of the company. + Manages internal/external posting and transfer process, including service level agreement, coordination of interviews, change of status form, and initiating Jira ticket for employee access update. + Implement initiatives to foster a positive company culture and enhance employee engagement. Be a steward of culture by developing positive employee relationships and helping to foster a climate of high performance, teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication. + Support the onboarding journey of new employees, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. Serves as the point of contact for new employee orientations and check-ins, addressing questions or concerns to ensure a smooth transition. + Support performance review processes and provide feedback to employees and managers. + Assist in the annual budget planning process as needed in the areas related to this role. + Responds to all inquiries from staff regarding recruiting, departmental needs, and engagement etc. Works with the People and Culture Specialists, and aids managers and leadership by assisting with employee relations documentation and templates. Has the ability to escalate employee relations requests while keeping information strictly confidential. + Responds to external phone calls and mail inquiries regarding job vacancies, employment verifications, etc. Supports branding and social media efforts in conjunction with the marketing team to increase candidates. + Supports Employee Engagement events through planning, organizing, and on-site assistance for various events. + Maintains confidential and personnel records and documentation, and other departmental files. + Composes routine correspondence, letters, memos, and departmental reports. + Complies with all applicable rules, regulations and statutes of the NCUA and other appropriate governing bodies to include but not limited to: the Credit Union Bylaws, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Lending Act, and Fair Credit Reporting. Non-essential Duties & Responsibilities + Performs other duties as assigned. Required Experience: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Experience: Three (3) years of HR experience required. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a recruiting role with an understanding of data analysis and trends. Skills: Ability to maintain total confidentiality of all departmental and employee information. Subject matter expert in recruitment. Excellent problem solving, influencing, and negotiation skills. Must be able to handle sensitive employment related issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality required. Salary: $69,146.30 - $103,719.44 Supervisory: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Time in Service: None Required.
