People & Organization Business Partner - Eastern Division
The P&O Business Partner, Field Operations serves as the partner to designated field and hospital leaders. This person leads the execution of people strategies, holistic programs, and tailored solutions to improve efficiency, and performance to ensure the delivery of VCA Objectives, Goals, Strategy and Measures (OGSM). This person will be responsible for delivering people initiatives, talent, and total rewards signature processes in partnership with functional leaders and P&O Centers of Excellence (COEs). As part of the P&O Operations Field Team, this person will be a key contributor to embedding the VCA culture, building capabilities and providing leadership coaching, deploying culture/talent/Associate experience programs, and leading specified change initiatives. As many people programs and solutions are being implemented for the first time, this person must thrive under highly ambiguous and changing environments. This role necessitates a natural innovator with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys building things from scratch ensuring a “Fit-for-Veterinary Services” **The ideal candidate will be based on the East Coast and must have the ability to travel up to 50% of the time. This travel is essential to effectively partner with field leaders, build strong relationships, and provide hands-on support across the region.** **Key Responsibilities** + Provide support, coaching and guidance to Associates and Leaders on a wide range of P&O matters, including total rewards, talent & culture, talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management, change management, employer branding, retention & engagement, communication and conflict management. + Supports, trains, and coaches Associates on field-facing P&O initiatives and signature processes with a strong focus on a “people first mindset.” + Responsible for working closely with ROD’s and Hospital leadership teams to develop and execute people planning and set goals around people results including recognition, retention strategies, and other people-related milestones. + Responsible for identifying trends to provide evidence-based approaches to influence people strategies and recommend workplace enhancements aligned with operational goals and priorities. + Leads the local execution of current and future P&O programs with in-scope field &hospital Associates. + Present scheduled Analyze people metrics (monthly, quarterly, annually) including providing advice on continuous improvement action plans for results over time. + Develop subject matter expertise on VCA specific data analytics tools. + Build strong partnerships and collaboration with the Associate Relations & Support office team to provide a holistic P&O support model. + Represents the voice of the field teams in specific forums to champion a positive Associate experience and represents the voice of the support office with the field. + Champion the VCA and Mars Culture in decision-making, actions, and behaviors. + Champion one or several signature processes for the entire P&O Field team (ex: MAS, DYT, 2DM). + Fulfill other related duties as assigned **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. + 5+ years of experience in a P&O or HR business partner role, ideally within a large, multi-site organization. + Ability to leverage knowledge in areas of talent management, talent acquisition, learning and development, associate engagement, total rewards, and organizational design and development + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and partner at all levels. + Proven ability to manage change, drive strategy, and impact organizational culture. + Ability to leverage knowledge in areas of talent management, talent acquisition, learning and development, associate engagement, total rewards, and organizational design and development **Additional Information** Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000 - $140,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
