Siemens Mobility provides efficient and integrated transportation of people and goods by rail and road – including rolling stock, rail automation, and rail electrification. We design and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.

We are seeking a People and Organization Advisor for the second shift (11:00 AM PST – 8:00 PM PST) to join our team in Sacramento, California. The ideal candidate is an energetic, passionate, and exceptional communicator who values people service. This role involves partnering with core P&O (HR) teams to deliver optimized HR solutions and continuously improve the employee experience from onboarding to retirement. The advisor will develop an understanding of our internal HR systems and processes, find opportunities for efficiency and process improvements, and work with employees across the organization to build trusted relationships quickly, and leading with appreciation, kindness, and creativity. In this dynamic role, you will provide comprehensive strategic and tactical support to the business, support our a diverse set of employees, and lead with empathy, compassion and creativity to drive the right solutions.

What your day-to-day will look like:Apply your expertise in employee relations to investigate situations, working with appropriate internal and external parties, including efficiently summarizing and documenting findings and making disciplinary recommendations.Coach, counsel, and advise management and staff to ensure effective resolution of employment-related matters. Respond to employee complaints, identify and lead interventions in response to resolve disputes.Advise managers regarding Performance Improvement Plans, assist in plan creation and oversee their implementation.Collaborate regularly with other P&O advisors to share and implement standard methodologies Assess the effectiveness of existing employee relations programs, policies, practices and procedures and recommend changes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and services.Interpret policies and their application and provide suggestions for improvements to policies when applicable.Provide proactive strategic guidance and direction to the management team regarding all aspects of employee relations.Submit, audit and track mass employee changes, partner with P&O Business Partner during reorganizations and mergers. Provide ad-hoc reporting, P&O (HR) data and validationResponsible for navigating large amounts of employee data in HRIS system: approve employee data changes to ensure data integrity, train and provide support to managersIdentify gaps in HR processes and collaborate with various functions within our ecosystem to provide solutions. Build quick reference guides, define process flows, and create useful toolkitsWho you are:A phenomenal listener/communicator with high emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with and relate well to all levels of employees.An analytical thinker with high attention to detail and strong problem resolution skills.Organized and flexible. You can handle multiple ongoing projects/investigations and you respond appropriately to unexpected urgent cases.A lifelong learner, bringing your growth mindset to work every day to enhance your growth and the growth of those around you.What you’ll need to be successful:5+ years of HR experience as a Generalist or Coordinator in a dynamic manufacturing environment and or Shared Service environment in addition to an in depth knowledge of California Labor Laws and RegulationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required, will consider other education combined with work experienceProficient with Microsoft Excel including creating V-look ups, Pivot Tables, and data summariesMust be organized with ability to handle a high volume of tasks; follow up in a timely manner with business leaders/line managers/employeesBe able to identify trends and create action items as well as partner with Operations and P&O Business Partners to drive implementation and impact. Use HRIS systems for data entry, modification, and reporting. Auditing to ensure our data is accurate

This position is based in Sacramento, CA. We offer a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA, is $107,200 - $125,800, and the annual incentive is 10% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
