Joby is seeking a People Team intern to assist with onboarding and new hire orientation onsite at our Santa Cruz location. In this role, you will work closely with Employee Relations team members to create an outstanding onboarding experience for every new employee.
Responsibilities Coordinate new hire orientation, which includes leading Day 1 activities, creating new hire packets, and distributing Company hardwareConduct pre-employment checks, such as background checks and drug & alcohol testsWork closely with and provide miscellaneous support to the Employee Relations team as needed. Required Excellent written and verbal communication skillsGood interpersonal and relationship building skillsA strong work ethicHigh attention to detail and passion for getting resultsHigh School Diploma or equivalent Desired Experience in and knowledge of HR resources and tools, or related fieldRecent graduate from a Bachelor’s degree program
Relocation Assistance: This position does not offer relocation assistance. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
The pay range for undergraduate interns, which includes high-school graduates to college students is $18-25/hr. The pay range for graduate interns with a Bachelor, Master, and/or Ph.D. degree is $5,200-$7,500/month. Individual pay is determined by internship role, department, experience, job-related skills, and level of education.
