PeopleSoft Reporting Training and Documentation Consultant
The PeopleSoft Training and Documentation Consultant will be a key member of the ConnectCarolina change management team and will perform a variety of change management activities for HCM and FMS 9.1 applications, including:
· Developing an in-depth understanding of UNC users, their current business processes, and how their business processes will change with the implementation of PeopleSoft.
· Writing custom step-by-step instructions for end users, and other materials such as quick reference cards and FAQs.
· Working with business owners, business analysts, subject matter experts to develop supporting materials for town hall meetings and other demos.
· Creating storyboards for and developing self-paced training using Captivate.
· Facilitating training in a classroom setting for both central office and campus staff.
Consultants should be comfortable learning new ways to develop training courses and materials. Being able to analyze information from a variety of sources and determine what end users need to know is key to success in this position, as is knowing how to write clearly for end users who are new to PeopleSoft.
Important: This position will not be using training recording software such as UPK, OnDemand, InfoPak, or uPerform.
This position requires:
· a strong understanding of PeopleSoft Reporting and query building.
· at least 3 years’ experience writing custom end user documentation for software implementations.
· at least 3 years of experience teach software training classes, and at least 1 year teaching PeopleSoft software classes.
· a good understanding of adult learners and how to develop effective software training and written materials for them.
Experience with MadCap Flare and Higher Education are pluses.
The contractor is expected to work ONSITE, working 40 hours per week Monday through Friday (8 Hours per day) or Monday through Thursday (10 hours per day). Schedules may need to change during the go-live training periods (October 2013 through January 2014). Local candidates should expect to work Monday through Friday.
Candidates should be available by mid to late August 2013. We anticipate the duration of the work to be five months.
