Position Title Per Course Faculty (Anthropology) Spring 2025 Work Location Springfield Campus Department Sociology, Anthropology and Gerontology Term Spring Semester (per course faculty only) Begin Date -Spring Term 01/13/2025 Begin Date - Summer Term Begin Date - Fall Term Maximum credit hours Per Course faculty can teach 12 Credit Hours per 12 Month Period - Springfield Campus Description of Primary Duties Teach online sections of ANT 100 World Cultures, submit grades by due dates, and support department and university goals and mission. Employee reports to the Department Head. Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Per Course Faculty should possess a master’s degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean. Additional Qualifications Required experience in teaching anthropology courses such as introductory four-field anthropology or equivalents to Missouri State University’s General Education ANT 100 World Cultures or ANT 303 Cultural Anthropology. A sample syllabus will be shared to facilitate course preparation. Missouri State uses the learning management system Brightspace D2L. Applicant will be required to use Brightspace D2L to post all course materials, assignments, and grades as well as to establish virtual office hours to meet with students as needed.
