Position Summary: The Child Watch Attendant is a per-diem position responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable childcare environment for the children of our patients. This role involves supervising and engaging children in various activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsibilities: + Supervise and monitor children's play activities. + Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games and group activities. + Read to children and teach them basic skills. + Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits. + Communicate effectively with children, their parents, and other staff members. + Sanitize toys and play equipment. + Perform basic housekeeping duties. + Adhere to all JHC policies and procedures, including safety standards and confidentiality regulations. + Cross-train for other non-medical JHC positions. + Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: + Minimum age of 18. + High School Diploma or equivalent. + One year or more of previous childcare experience. + CPR, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne Pathogen, Child Abuse Training, Drug and Alcohol Abuse training certifications, and Food Handler’s Card. + TB test clearance. + Knowledge of basic care principles for infants, toddlers, and preschool children. + Responsible, patient, understanding, and articulate. + Energy and physical stamina. + Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to illnesses and injuries. + Ability to travel locally and regionally. + Valid Washington State Driver’s License. + Successful completion of a criminal background investigation.
