Per Diem Director Quality Improvement – ASC

**Responsibilities**
The Per Diem Director of Quality Improvement ASC is responsible for the oversight and management Quality and Safety Teams activities in the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC). Responsible for leading maintenance of Advanced Accreditation programs in the ASC and is responsible for coordination of internal performance improvement activities, leads and serves as a model for identifying opportunities for improvement throughout the organization Responsible for managing activities necessary to ensure appropriate utilization of the surgery center and its resources while maintaining optimal achievable standards of patient care, as well as working collaboratively with the medical staff, research team and leadership in support of process improvement and risk management goals.

**Salary Range: $79.33/hr (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)**
**Qualifications**
**Education**
Required: Master’s degree in healthcare management related field
Preferred: N/A
**Experience**
Required: 7 years of progressive leadership in a perioperative setting or procedural oriented setting, including
strategic planning, supply chain control, development of Capital & Operating budgets to include pro forma
evaluation, and personnel management.
Knowledge of regulatory standards for ambulatory surgical setting or hospital outpatient setting including
clinical and business office workflow. Participation in AAAHC, AAASC or JCAHO, OSHA, TDH, and CLIA surveys.
Knowledge of the principles of quality management and experience in leading Performance Improvement
teams.
Preferred: Ambulatory Surgical Center or hospital outpatient surgical center experience with a broad array of
surgical specialty services and endoscopy experience.
**License(s)**
Required: Valid driver’s license
Preferred: Peri-operative certification
Texas RN license
**Special Skills**
Required: Must also have prior experience in or use of principles of project management skills and or Lean
Processing.
Preferred: Experience with ASC Business Office activity; AR, Coding, Insurance verification, collections.
**Other**
Required: Excellent communication skills to include verbal, written and presentations to moderate size
audience.
Strong data and analytical skills; ability to analyze case costs, evaluate contract performance, etc.
Ability to work with a wide range of professionals to improve service and enhance revenue.
Preferred: CASC or FACHE
