JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for:  Providing a safe, structured, supervised and accountable environment for CHI residents and staff.

Pay: $19.00 an hour- per diem seasonal work (November-April).

FLSA: Non-exempt. Eligible for overtime.

Schedule: 2 shifts available: Sunday-Tuesday, 6 am - 10 am and 5 pm - 9 pm split shift - on call Wednesday

                                                  Thursday-Saturday, 6 am - 10 am and 5 pm - 9 pm split shift - on call Wednesday

JOB-RELATED DUTIES – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

           These duties are essential and specific to the successful implementation of this position.

Transports customers to various locations specified on Transportation Request with Agency van. Schedules daily routes, prioritizing trips to the Department of Social Service, Department of Labor, and housing appointments for customers. Maintains van in pristine condition, ensuring cleanliness inside and out. Monitors and schedules routine maintenance of van (inspections, oil changes, tire rotation, etc.) Reviews transportation requests with respective Supervisor. Maintains accurate documentation of runs; logging mileage and destinations. Adheres to proper use of company resources (cell phones, office supplies, vehicles, etc.). Must be able to multitask, be flexible, and maintain a high level of attention to details.  Does not fraternize with customers; maintains a professional boundaries. Drives within posted speed limits and ensures that all passengers wear required safety belts.
